Forsslund Systems will demonstrate our simulator at ADEE Annual Meeting in Amsterdam 25th-28th of August 2010. The theme of the conference is Digital Dentistry and will have a dedicated track to simulators and virtual reality.
In this demonstration, the core concepts of the Kobra and FS-Wisdom will be shown. With the Kobra simulator, users may access simulations as a service over Internet, without use of any separate computer. One such simulation is FS-Wisdom, designed to teach final year dental students surgical extraction of wisdom teeth. Instead of aiming to replace conventional mechanical simulators, the combination of Kobra and FS-Wisdom compliments conventional simulators with more advanced exercises including bone drilling, a critical part of elementary surgery. The presentation will also cover the design and engineering method and how researchers can access all levels of the architecture, to allow for modifications and extensions.
